The Collaborative

2011 - Thriving

New regulations in the banking industry continue to dramatically affect the way financial institutions interact with their customers, generate revenue, develop new products, and train employees. This Collaborative investigated the factors that allow bankers to thrive under constraint. Creativity, it has been said, thrives because of constraint, not in the absence of constraint. Fueled by their ethnographic research, they took a fresh look at what banks and credit unions can do to thrive in this new banking environment.

The Collaborative discovered that in order to survive – and thrive – organizations needed to make some big changes in how they target customers, how they structure products, how they charge for products and services, and how they use language with customers and employees.
