Resonant Leadership: Using Emotional Intelligence to Inspire Us to Be Our Best - Recorded Presentation

On February 8, 2006, Dr. Richard Boyatzis, one of the world's leading experts in leadership development and Emotional Intelligence, led financial services executives further along the path of effectiveness and exceptional business success, building on the principles from his 2002 bestseller, Primal Leadership: Learning to Lead with Emotional Intelligence (co-authored with Daniel Goleman and Annie McKee). Click the PDF link at left to view the slides for his presentation.

Boyatzis' latest book, co-written with Dan Goleman and Annie McKee is Primal Leadership: Learning to Lead with Emotional Intelligence.  A Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and New York Times business bestseller, the book has been translated into 26 languages. It  unveils new scientific evidence demonstrating that a leader's emotional competencies have an enormous impact on effectiveness and an organization's bottom line.

Boyzatis consults internationally and leads a landmark course for the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. He is also a Visiting Professor at ESADE in Barcelona, one of the top business schools in the world and a frequent guest lecturer at management schools throughout Europe and the U.S. Stressing "emotional competencies" as a way to succeed in any job, Boyatzis teaches how to become an effective leader and how to develop others into great leaders.

Boyzatis has consulted to many Fortune 500 and Global Fortune 500 companies, educational and healthcare organizations and governmental agencies in such areas as executive development, coaching, culture change, R&D and productivity. He holds a B.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT and a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Harvard. He describes his work as an exploration of "how and why people change. It is a way of thinking about your talent, who you are, and what you want to do with it."
