Nick Tasler is a writer, researcher and organizational psychologist who began his career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) working on the mergers of ExxonMobil and BP Amoco. Most recently, he was the Director of Global Research & Development for TalentSmart, a global think-tank and consultancy serving more than 75% of Fortune 500 companies. His skill at bridging the gap between complex concepts and simple solutions has not only directly benefited multinational corporations including GE and Coca-Cola, but also smaller, privately-owned enterprises and industries ranging from healthcare and pharmaceuticals to financial services.
Nick is the award-winning author of The Impulse Factor: Why Some Of Us Play It Safe And Others Risk It All, and most recently, The Decision Pulse released Fall 2011. He is a regular contributor to BusinessWeek.com and has written for a wide range of publications including the San Diego Union-Tribune, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Leadership Excellence. While at TalentSmart, Tasler authored three original psychological assessments including The Impulse Factor™ Test, which eventually became the heart of his first book. Nick holds a B.A. in psychology & management and a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology. He lives with his wife and two sons in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is currently working on his next book.
