We’re only one-third into the year, but I’m already excited about where this industry is going. Positive energy is everywhere. People are more realistic and optimistic.
As Chief Experience Officer (CXO) at Deluxe, Martie is responsible for orchestrating outstanding client experiences for the financial institutions Deluxe serves – and for helping Deluxe clients deliver a significantly better, more purposeful experience to their customers. With expertise in consumer psychology and buying behavior, Martie’s charge is to improve customer engagement and loyalty throughout the financial services industry.
Martie directs the Deluxe Customer Experience Center of Excellence, driving researchers, designers, engineers and methodology experts to discover and develop new experience insights and best practices. She also leads strategy and planning of experience offerings, ensuring the most relevant solutions for clients like you. A dynamic speaker, Martie has been a key presenter on customer experience and loyalty at numerous Deluxe conferences and industry association events for bank executives. Her engaging ability to connect with the audience, tell relevant stories, and focus on what matters to financial executives is the reason she is asked to speak by so many banks, credit unions, and industry organizations.
Martie joined Deluxe in 2000 from Personnel Decisions International (PDI), a global business consulting firm, where she was responsible for developing differentiated consulting services, defining the customer experience around these practices, and driving new business development.
Martie has a master’s degree in Social Psychology from the University of Minnesota and is continuing her studies toward a PhD. Her academic work focuses on the factors that affect attitude development and decisions associated with buying behavior. Martie, her husband Pete, and their 5 children ranging in ages from 7 to 21 enjoy everything outdoors in Minnesota and the joys of cooking.
